Ollie’s Great Bakery is hiring a reliable part-time delivery driver for our Elon and High Point University delivery route this year.

Drivers will pick up bakery orders from us in Mebane, follow a set delivery route to HPU and then Elon, complete campus drop-offs at each university concierge desk, mark orders as delivered in our delivery app, and represent Ollie’s warmly and professionally.

After finishing delivery at Elon University, drivers do not need to return to our location.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 2:30-5 PM.

Occasional Tuesday and Thursday availability is required during busy weeks: mid-August, Halloween, early December, Valentine's, and late April.

Compensation:

$75 per standard route. A standard route includes pickup in Mebane, delivery to High Point University, and delivery to Elon University. Drivers are responsible for using their own vehicle and covering their own gas/vehicle expenses.

Nearby off-campus delivery requests occasionally come up and are compensated at $5 per additional stop.

Sometimes we have special route opportunities. We will communicate these with you ahead of time for your approval. We calculate pay as a flat route amount based on the expected time of the route, calculated at $30/hour round-trip from our location to delivery.

Must-Haves:

  • Driving Ability

    Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance.

  • Strong Punctuality

    Must arrive on time for shifts and complete deliveries within the expected delivery window.

  • Comfort with Technology

    Must be comfortable using a smartphone, delivery app, maps, and text messaging.

  • Consistent Availability

    Must be consistently available Monday, Wednesday & Friday afternoons, with occasional Tuesday/Thursday availability during busy weeks.

  • Clear Communication

    Must clearly communicate any delays, issues, or conflicts that arise.

  • Positive Attitude

    Must fit with our culture of positivity. We deliver joy and want all interactions to feel warm, professional, and kind.

  • Physical Requirements

    Must be comfortable lifting & carrying bakery crates, as well as walking short distances during campus deliveries. Full crates may weigh up to 20 pounds.

  • Opportunity for Growth

This role requires someone dependable, detail-oriented, tech-comfortable, and proactive with communication. Our deliveries are gifts from parents and families, so reliability and care really do matter to us.
